Message
from the Dean
It’s been almost a year since I joined the Rutgers family, and it has
been a truly exhilarating and personally satisfying eleven months.
As we wind down from an exceptionally productive academic year, we are
excited to share with you all the major events and happenings of the
past twelve months.
Today marks the launch of the “Rutgers Biz-e-Zone, presents Your News of
Choice”, a newsletter that officially opens lines of communication
between the school and it’s most important members – you, our alumni.
This is just a starting point for what we consider to be an ongoing
dialog for all of us to share our thoughts and ideas. This will
result in a more engaged, interactive, and involved School of Business
family.
The end of the 2010-2011 academic year was celebrated on May 19 at the
School of Business Commencement Ceremony. Our keynote speaker was
alumnus Dr. Thomas Cellucci (MBA 1991), Chief Commercialization Officer
for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Tom delivered a
personal and poignant commencement speech that touched everyone in the
audience and reverberates to this day in our minds and hearts. At
this joyous occasion the School of Business awarded more than 80 MBA
degrees, and 225 undergraduate degrees in the areas of Accounting,
Finance, Management, and Marketing.
Many of our graduating students have excellent job offers, and the
remaining students are hopeful of securing exciting positions over the
next few months. As the economy continues its slow climb out of the
great recession, we would like to remind you that one of the best ways
to show your support for the Rutgers School of Business–Camden is to
hire our students. You know the quality of education and training a
Rutgers–Camden Business graduate gets - you are living proof.
If you are in a position to hire young new talent, we hope that you will
consider one of our very newly minted graduates. If you prefer
more seasoned and experienced leaders, I am sure our alumni base would
prove to be a great resource of extensive and knowledgeable talent.
Please send career or internship opportunities for current students and
alumni to our internship coordinator, Joe Haro. He can be reached at
856-225-6677 or through
email at
jharo@camden.rutgers.edu.
The Rutgers School of Business network is a lifelong benefit to all
alumni, and that network is strengthened and enriched by those who are
involved with it. We thank you in advance for supporting the school in
this important way, and look forward to seeing you at one of our events
soon.
Warm regards,

Dr. Jai Ganesh
Dean, Rutgers School of Business–Camden
