COURSE NEWS – PREREGISTRATION IS COMING SOON!!
Scheduling your classes is difficult and complicated. If you
don’t let us know about problems/conflicts when draft schedules are
posted, there is little we can do when a semester actually begins.
At best, if we know that
enough students have a specific need EARLY enough, we can make a
change. If we hear about it at the last minute, it’s much more
difficult to accommodate you.
While you are working with Dean Muse on planning your Fall 08 and
Spring 09 courses, I thought that you might like to see what we have
tentatively planned for Spring 09. You can find our tentative
schedule online at the
Current Students/Student Resources page:
http://camden-sbc.rutgers.edu/CurrentStudents/resources.htm.
Please note: the Spring 09 schedule is tentative. In the effort to
offer more flexibility in scheduling, we have noted down several
alternative-time class possibilities, such as Friday, Saturday, and
half-semester courses. Please give me some feedback on these
options.
FALL 2008:
1. Our preliminary Fall 08 schedule:
http://camden-sbc.rutgers.edu/CurrentStudents/resources.htm
2. Preregistration for Fall 08 begins on April 6, 10 PM for
students with 90+ credits. On April 7, 10 PM for all others.
3. We are planning to
reintroduce our Business Communications course in Fall 2008. This
course builds public speaking and professional business writing
skills. Watch for an updated schedule!
GRADUATION INFORMATION
1. Seniors - all graduation information is posted at this URL:
http://camden-sbc.rutgers.edu/AcademicServices/graduationinfo.htm
2. I have the privilege of reading your names at our graduation
ceremony. If your name is difficult to pronounce, please email,
call, or visit me!
INTERNATIONAL MARKETING/MANAGEMENT PROGRAM WITH TRIP TO
FRANCE
Offered 1st Session Summer Session - Introduction to
the concepts, framework and issues of global business and how they
influence management decisions: multinational firms, international
trade, and the
cultural, political, institutional, social and economic environment
of the global marketplace. The School of Business–Camden (SBC)
offers a study program on doing business in France. The program
highlight is a 10-day study trip (June 6-June 15) to France, where
we will visit businesses and government institutions to learn more
about management and marketing practices in this region. The course
is open to MBA and undergraduate business students. Students will
earn their choice of three marketing or management credits. In
addition to tuition cost of trip will be approximately $2,300.
Please contact Cal Maradonna
(cal.maradonna@rutgers.edu)
for additional details.
ROTARY INTERNATIONAL
SCHOLARSHIPS
This is the link to the Rotary International website page regarding
the
Ambassadorial Scholarship.
http://www.rotary.org/en/StudentsAndYouth/EducationalPrograms/AmbassadorialScholarships/Pages/ridefault.aspx
The scholarship is valued at $24,000 to fund one year of post
graduate study abroad. Candidates list their top five choices of
schools to attend. Other than the application process, the only
obligations required by Rotary are some progress reports and
attending some Rotary meetings during and after the study year.
More information is available at the website. Our scope is for
students who will have completed a four year degree by May of 2009
and are prepared to study abroad in the 2009 - 2010 academic
year. We are primarily searching for students who live or whose
families live in Camden County, however, our Rotary District covers
Camden, Gloucester, part of Atlantic, and Salem Counties.
Applications are due by April 10th, so interested candidates will
have to focus their efforts to complete the application and
references quickly. Applicants also need to attend a Haddonfield
Rotary meeting during the screening process.
