Dr. Kim’s research focuses on the role of accounting
information in equity valuation, and managerial discretion in corporate
financial reporting. His research output has appeared in such respected
scholarly journals as the Accounting Review, Journal of International
Financial Management and Accounting, Journal of Economics and Business
and Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting. A current research
question he is asking is, “Do firms manage their earnings prior to
borrowing?”
