Program Introduction

Jumpstart your career with Rutgers classes in Atlantic City!   
Classes are held at Atlantic Cape Community College, 1535 Bacharach Boulevard, 
Atlantic City, NJ

The Bachelors in Hospitality Management Program is designed primarily for individuals who have an interest in pursuing careers within the hospitality industry in areas such as Hotel Management, Casino Administration, Food & Beverage Operations or any related field.  The program is housed in Mays Landing with classes offered at both Mays Landing and Atlantic City.  The program caters to the numerous hotels and Casinos in the area as well as in Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley and their growing need for qualified personnel. The program utilizes industry professionals as faculty to enhance the learning experience while providing the students a networking opportunity with their senior executives. Since most students are employed within the industry in Atlantic City, classes are conveniently scheduled in the evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 8:10 p.m. at the Atlantic Cape Community College Campus in Atlantic City.

Upon completion of the courses, students will have been trained in skills such as team building, strategic planning, profit improvements, quality improvements and effective integration of technology into the industry. They will be prepared to initiate, innovate and make wise decisions in this increasingly complex and international field.

Goals for the course are to learn about technology and information systems; understand and be able to articulate between information technology and information systems, link concepts and technical jargon to the real world of uses of information systems and introduce students to e-commerce transactions and applications within hospitality. Designed for students who will work within hospitality organizations as end users, users-managers, and leaders. Students are provided with the essential information that all hospitality management professionals should know about information systems.

  1. Must have accumulated at least 45 college credits transferable from an accredited institution. Exceptions will be considered on an individual basis after a review of prior work by the Academic Director and by Admissions.

  2. College GPA of 2.5
