Frequently
Asked Questions
What are
the admission requirements for the B.A.B.A.?
Successful completion of an A.A. or A.S. degree with a
cumulative GPA of 2.50.
How long
will it take to complete the program?
The cohort schedule is designed so that the student will be able
to complete the degree program in three years. However, it is
easily possible to complete the program within two years or
less. Students who wish to progress faster can take more classes
than those required for the cohort schedule every semester, take
summer courses, and/or take Rutgers University non-business
electives that are offered in the fall and spring. Students
should work closely with their academic advisors to ensure all
requirements are met.
How many
credit hours are required to complete the program?
Students will complete 60 Rutgers University credits beyond
their associate degree, and a minimum of 120 credits total to
satisfy graduation requirements.
When is
enrollment for the B.A.B.A. program?
Students can be admitted in either the fall or spring. However,
those students who prefer to be a part of the three year cohort
are recommended to start in the fall. What courses should have
I completed during the course of my associate degree program?
Students interested in the B.A.B.A. program should complete the
following courses during the course of their associate degree:
Micro and Macroeconomics, Financial Accounting, Statistics,
Business Computing, Business Law, and Calculus.* We strongly
encourage students to speak to a Rutgers representative before
registering for the B.A.B.A. program.
Will I
have to go to a Rutgers campus to take classes?
All coursework for the B.A.B.A. will be offered at the community
college campuses where you obtained your associate degree.
*Students who
cannot fit Calculus neatly into their associate degree program
should at least complete the necessary prerequisites for
Calculus. If applicants do not successfully complete Calculus
during the course of their associate degree program, they should
be prepared to take Calculus online with Rutgers University.
